Music saved my life: Bethen Pasinawako

Updated: Mar 10, 2021

It’s not everyday that radio interviews get so deep. Artists rarely let it all out but certainly not Bethen Pasinawako. The “Ndinzverei” hit maker who during an interview on Gospel City on Capitalk 100.4FM revealed that if it wasn’t for writing music and doing her first album, her suicidal thoughts could have taken over and she would have easily given up on life.

At the age of 16 and going through her O’levels, the Christian Contemporary Music artist described going through the toughest time of her life before releasing her first album, Ndinzverei. The result was a successful album which catapulted her into an instant household name forever changing the course of her life.

Ever since then her life has turned into so many things apart from just being a musician. She got married to a producer, Lyton Ngolomi and started her own Music Label, Bethel Music World in which she shares her experiences and assists members of the society who are less privileged but love music as a career.

She has opened the door to her matrimonial home and takes care of 30 homeless children. The most recent being a set of twins which were left on her doorstep last year.

She has a brand new 12-track album coming out in December called “EKE” on the 5th of December 2020.

Bethen believes music has the power to heal and her life could have turned out different or non-existent if it wasn’t for her writing and singing.
