I’ve been hacked!

I have heard of numerous occasions where our privacy is attacked in this virtual world we are living in. Daily we share to strangers countless number of photos, events and information that can be used against us by would be hackers and the such. While we love the new

applications that connect us far and wide, there is simply very little law that governs or protects us from these hackers as they are largely, UNKNOWN. I am imagining the large number of cheaters exposed in the Ashley Madison debacle that is raging on. How are the users of such a social platform feeling as the details are to be spread all over, who protects them from their dirty secretive affairs from being exposed no matter how wrong they could have been cheating on their spouses. It warrants us on keeping the somewhat very delicate issues of our lives aay from the public eye, just in case. I have had many friends complaining of hackings and abuse on various social sites and its sad to know we don’t know a great deal about defending ourselves from online predators. There is just so much fun out there to worry about how to keep the wolves away from your sheep. We seem to not worry so much about online incidences that we go around using the same password (child’s birthday) on all sites. The chances of a hacker trying out your child’s birthday as password are more likely to result in a hacked account than a password that has no connection however with your life. In fact, I would recommend, a change in password every now and then as long as you wont forget. In the case where your bikini shots are used on a pornographic site, there is need to raise alarm through the platform where there we uprooted and file a case with the local police department dealing with online crimes. Now coming from Zimbabwe, this is yet to be a reality, the majority of victims end up leaving the site or opening another account leaving the old and hacked to the mercy of the predators within the online world. The majority of complains from colleagues that I have gathered are from facebook.com There is a large number of hackers lurking within this vast online landscape than any other place to date. Facebook knows this already and sadly the best they can do is to help cut off posts and requests from a hacked account if you alert them. A lot of people within the developing economies are blank when it comes to understanding how this multi-million dollar empire functions.
